Tier 2 strategic traps are very similar to Tier 1 strategic traps, but have some more long term benefits. In terms of value for recourses, Tier 2's cost about twice that of Tier 1's. It's understandable as they have double the stats, but it does mean that a big aspect of deciding which to use early on will depend on how many recourses the player has available to invest into defences. Additionally, if the player is reaching their Wall Trap limit, switching over to Tier 2's will ensure more protection per space. Tier 2 Strategic Traps are still relatively cheap. They can take a little while to build, but during the building time the player should be able to get some, if not all of their recourses back.
Tier 2 Strategic Traps don't require vast amounts of research, but each individual Trap has it's own line of research in the Strategic Wall Traps category, and requires it's standard trap counterpard to be researched, as well as the tier 1 counterpart. To be eligible to research Sentry Tower's, the player first needs to research Longbow Toers and Turrets. To unlock the Flaming Carts, Steam Cannons and Strategic Trap Attack Lv.1 first need to be unlocked, and to research Arrow Walls, the player must also research Snares and Strategic Trap Defense Lv.1.
